Job Title - Youth Worker

Location: We have sessions which take place at the following locations..

Swansea, NPT, Carmarthen, Pembroke, Newtown and Aberystwyth. *Candidates can choose to work one or multiple sites, depending on their preference.

Reporting to: Senior Foundation Coaches

Contract Type: Casual

Working Hours: Casual Hours (Evenings)

Salary: £13.38 per hours (plus £1.62 of Working Time Directive [WTD])

Job Role: Youth Worker

Job Purpose: To work with young people from high-need areas as part of our Premier League Kicks programme.  Youth Workers will develop positive relationships with young people involved in the programme, supporting their needs and helping them to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage and inspire young people during our Premier League Kicks Session.
  • Develop positive relationships with young people based on mutual trust and respect, supporting young people to make positive life choices. 
  • Deliver high-quality sessions that engage and enthuse young people.
  • Support young people with their needs and empower them to reach their full potential.
  • Establish clear boundaries and challenge any inappropriate behaviour during the sessions.
  • To attend any training identified as necessary by your line manager as part of your personal development programme.
  • To report any behaviour, conversations or comments which are inappropriate.
  • Support senior coaches, to ensure that sessions are delivered to the highest quality.
  • To effectively engage with young people at sessions, and act as a positive role model.
  • To support with identifying suitable sites for Kicks delivery and provide opportunities which inspire, motivate, and empower young people to realise their potential.
  • To ensure that all activities are delivered within a safe, controlled environment. 
  • To be committed to CPD and attend training course seminars and meetings as required. 
  • To carry out administrative duties as necessary e.g. maintain accurate attendance registers, conduct dynamic risk assessments, complete any accident reports. 
  • To ensure all equipment associated with the coaching programme is correctly set up and maintained correctly.
