Title Visitor Experience Host  

Salary: £13.04 per hour

Hours: 30 contracted hours (minimum)

York Archaeology are seeking enthusiastic and engaging individuals to join their experienced Visitor Experience team.

The key purpose of this role is to welcome a wide range of visitors to JORVIK Viking Centre, DIG and Barley Hall and handle all point-of-sale operations including the ticketing and entrance experience and our retail offers at all of our attractions.


The role requires excellent customer care and communication skills and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Backgrounds in similar public facing roles and sales are desirable, though not necessary. You should have a positive attitude to working with the public, be able to take initiative and work reliably as part of a team.

Interviews will be held week commencing 21/09/2026
