About EMCCA
East Midlands Combined County Authority
(EMCCA) brings partners together to help make the East Midlands more
prosperous, sustainable and fairer. We are an evolving organisation, moving our
focus towards delivery against our Corporate Plan and building the people,
systems and capability needed to turn our ambitions into results. This makes it
an exciting time to join us. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a
developing organisation, shape how we work and help deliver meaningful outcomes
for our region.
About the role
As HR Data & MI Lead, you will work
with the HR Operations & Services Partner to build and take ownership of
our workforce data, management information and people analytics. You will
develop clear dashboards and reporting that help leaders and colleagues
understand what is happening across our workforce, identify trends and make
evidence-based decisions.
This is not simply a reporting role. You
will help establish a strong and trusted approach to HR data, bringing together
accurate information, meaningful analysis and clear narrative. Your work will
support operational decisions, workforce planning, corporate priorities and
statutory reporting.
You will also have a supporting role in the
effective use and improvement of HR systems because reliable systems and data
flows underpin good MI.
What you'll be doing
·
Lead the design and development
of HR dashboards and management information, using tools such as Power BI.
·
Analyse workforce data to
identify trends, risks and opportunities and turn these into clear, useful
insight.
·
Produce regular and ad hoc
reporting to support operational decisions, workforce planning, corporate
priorities and statutory requirements.
·
Present complex information
through accessible visuals, concise narrative and evidence-based
recommendations.
·
Lead HR data quality and
assurance activity, including validation, reconciliation, audits and data
cleansing.
·
Ensure workforce data is
handled securely and in line with data protection, governance and audit
requirements.
·
Support the improvement of HR
systems, reporting structures, data flows and integrations where these affect
the quality or accessibility of MI.
·
Identify opportunities for
automation and process improvement and work collaboratively with HR, IT,
Finance, system providers and other partners.
What you'll bring
·
Strong analytical skills and
experience of interpreting complex workforce or people data.
·
Experience designing dashboards
and presenting management information clearly, ideally using Power BI.
·
The ability to turn data into
meaningful narrative, insight and practical recommendations for different
audiences.
·
An understanding of HR
processes such as recruitment, absence, performance and payroll interfaces.
·
Experience of data quality,
governance and compliance, with strong attention to detail.
·
Working knowledge of HR systems
and digital processes, together with the ability to collaborate on system
improvements.
·
A degree or equivalent
qualification, or relevant professional experience demonstrating the level of
capability required for the role.
